Shields is the best wrestler that GSP has faced...
...which might force the champion to switch up his wrestling-dominated game. Shields is coming off a disappointing win against Martin Kampmann, but we'll give him a mulligan since he hadn't competed at welterweight for years. At middleweight, he outwrestled a premier wrestler in Dan Henderson before bolting for the UFC. It will be interesting to see if St. Pierre opts to keep this fight on the feet.
Jose Aldo finally gets his moment in the UFC spotlight
Aldo might be the best fighter you've never seen. Relegated to WEC cards on the obscure Versus Network, the UFC's absorption of the WEC gives Aldo a chance to shine on the big stage. Aldo's been so damn good there's been talk of him moving up to lightweight for the chance to become a two-division champion. First he's got to get through Mark Hominick -- a tough SOB who pounded out George Roop to earn the shot.
Is Machida figured out?
For a while, Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida seemed unstoppable due to his unorthodox karate style. To quote Michael Scott: "How the turn tables." He's lost two in a row now, first losing his title after getting rocked by Shogun Rua, and then losing a tough tactical fight against Rampage Jackson. The UFC isn't doing him any favors -- he takes on Randy Couture, the master of game plans and one of the most popular fighters in UFC history.

Vladimir Matyushenko and Jason Brilz will fight to make a name at LHW, both need wins for relevancy...Mark Bocek and Ben Henderson looks to be a high-paced fight that could likely be Fight of the Night...Nate Diaz looks to continue his run at welterweight against veteran Rory McDonald...we'll see if the Stockton native should move back down to lightweight.
